It’s easy to fall out of reading. Almost too easy.
Perhaps life got in the way. Perhaps you put your reading on pause to accommodate a major event. Perhaps your schedule shifted and you don’t know how to get back into reading.
I’ve been there. I’ve also been able to jump back in.

We did it! We all survived National Novel Writing Month: 2017 Edition! Whether or not we reached (or surpassed) 50K words for our novel, the most important thing that came out of this month is that we wrote more words than we probably have all year.
Or is it just me?
Now that it’s December, I wanted to reflect just one more time on this year’s NaNoWriMo experience before I shift my blog posts back to advice and random thoughts on
, writing , grammar , editing and blogging . social media branding

So, did I reach my target daily word count goals for National Novel Writing Month? Keep reading.

Are we already halfway through National Novel Writing Month? I haven’t felt this fatigued and mentally drained since, well, last November!
But let’s get right to it. Did I reach this week’s NaNoWriMo goals? Or did I fail miserably?
Week 2 of National Novel Writing Month is in the books! I’ve typed out a lot of words, reinstated some neglected (yet proven) writing habits back into my life and haven’t hated every word I’ve cranked out into my story.
That’s got to count for something, right?
We’re only a few days into National Novel Writing Month and I’m already switching up my NaNoWriMo strategy!
November, watch out. Because I have big dreams—and hopefully few obstacles.
